Archies Shirts Are Back

From Andrew:

At the shows this weekend you will have the ability to purchase the newly designed Posies/Archies shirts. Darius and Matt are now featured along with Jon and Ken. They are VERY limited and once gone, I don't know when they will return.

If any of the shirts get past AZ they will be available at future dates until gone.

I will be working with Taylor to get a mail order thing going if there is a demand. We have to work on the logistics with paying the band and all of the details....

Here is the updated design:

(The original design was done by Chris Mowrer - you can see his portfolio here and check out some of the other things he's done.)

Who did the design? I remember some from years and years ago by Chris Mowrer but I never got one for my very own. *weep*

Please make these shirts available at the UK gigs in November...I'll be at Bristol and Oxford, and I'm still the proud owner of one of the original Archies shirts....

you could always put these on cafe press so it won't cost you to make the shirts. That way we don't loose out if you run out.

OK All...Chris Mowrer did do the original design, got to give props there. Vince redesigned it and modernized all of the instruments, hairstyles and band members.

*GOOD NEWS*
Jon bought a limited amount of shirts and they did sell out in less than a week. Jon and Ken re-ordered a bunch more today and Vince is printing on Monday. They should be available for the rest of the U.S. tour as well as Europe.

Well damn. I'm Chris Mowrer...and I sure wish someone had tracked me down. I would have LOVED to do the update, because doing this shirt was a LOT of fun. *sigh*

But if anybody's interested, I might share some cool stuff related to the shirt. The unproduced other side, dozens of sketches, temporary tattoo designs, the original artwork, all my reference photography. Whaddya think?

I think that would be very cool.

Chris, we desperately tried tracking you down when we did the first repro. We ended up hooking up with Fredrik from Europe who sent us a picture of the shirt. Vinny redrew it and we made some for ourselves. Then we did a fan only thing in which we still couldn't find you and luckily I got hold of an original so we could detail the stuff we missed. Then on Jons request(jokingly) he asked Vin to update it. Vin did, and the rest is history.

That design is still very popular and you deserve all of the props that go with it! I really wish we could have tracked you down for the re-work (and yeah, you would have had to help print those things too!)

It would be really cool if you had some for mail order. The Posies hardly ever make it to this part of the world so no chance of getting one at a show, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like one!

Oh, and I'm looking for something different than the shirt design...for a shirt it's cool, but as a tattoo...
