Posies Add Dates to 30th Anniversary Tour in US

Jon & I will do a run of duo shows in the US in Jan./Feb. to start the celebrations of our 30th year as a band. This will be followed by DELUXE REISSUES of our classic 90s albums via OMNIVORE … and then we are planning to hit the road later in the year with Mike Musburger & Dave Fox to play as the ‘Frosting’ era Posies. I’m sure you’ll see other Posies alumni here and there as well, no one is going to be left out of the party.

SO, tix on all these shows are limited. We will be doing material from *four* different decades in these shows. Good grief! Special guests…. mayhem… harmonies…

On October 31st, the Posies will be headlining the Pray for Snow party, held at Mission Ridge in Wenatchee WA. Tickets are available now for $10.

There are also two new Disciplines shows in Norway that will take place before the full-band Posies shows in May, and a Big Star show in London in August.

The Disciplines’ first full-length album, ‘SMOKiNG KiLLS’, will be released May 5th in Norway & Denmark on Voices Music and Entertainment. One of the songs from the album, “Yours for the Taking,” appears on a bonus CD that comes with the April issue of Q magazine (with all tracks selected by R.E.M.).

Lastly, the Posies tribute EP ‘Beautiful Escape: The Songs Of The Posies Revisited’ is out now on Burning Sky Records and can be ordered on the Myspace page. The EP features 7 songs (including one EP-only song) from the 3-CD release that will be out in May.
